Andreas Pohl is a writer, researcher and educator based in Hanoi. He has co-authored three Vietnamese cook books with his wife and chef, Tracey Lister: KOTO a Culinary Journey Through Vietnam (2008), Vietnamese Street Food (2011) and Real Vietnamese Cooking (2014), all published by Hardie Grant (Melbourne). Born in Germany, Andreas migrated to Australia in the late 1980s and moved to Vietnam for the first time at the start of the millennium, taking up a position in foreign aid. After a stint back in Melbourne, he returned to Hanoi in 2008. His writing has also appeared in a range of international magazines such as Delicious Magazine, Australia and TAZ, Germany.
